Greenville, & Upstate sc Vocal Lessons

As a vocal coach, I work with individuals of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to seasoned musicians. I help students navigate a wide variety of goals and challenges, often including:

  • Beginners just learning about music for the first time – including matching pitches and singing basic scales

  • Kids needing help getting ready for auditions

  • Students who want to focus on singing and vocal technique

  • Working with adults of all ages and experience levels

  • Working to improve any problems you may be encountering with your voice

  • Individuals who want to learn basic theory and how to sight-read

  • Experienced musicians who are looking to learn a new instrument

These are just a few of the common needs I help students with. I teach all styles of music, but my particular area of interest is in commercial styles of music, rather than classical.  There is no wrong time to learn to sing. Whether you’re 9 or 90, I would like to help you get the most out of your voice lessons.

faq Upstate SC singing lessons

I work with a diverse variety of singing students. Here are a few of the common things I’m an expert at helping people with.

Our sessions will be

  • Personalized

The best foundation to begin voice lessons is to learn about you.

Why do you want to take lessons? Have you had lessons before? What music do you like? What led you to me? What are you most comfortable singing?

To tailor an experience based on your unique needs and what you’re hoping for, these are just a few of the questions I begin with,

  • integrative

From there, I would like to hear you sing, which will help me get the best idea of where you are at.

My approach is always flexible and my clients comfort is the most important thing when establishing a relationship. We typically will begin with basic vocal warm-ups.

I’ll meet you where you’re at. As I begin to understand your instrument, I will see what your strengths are. This helps me identify what lessons and teaching with be best for you to start with.

  • targeted

Once we get started, I will encourage you to record lessons – or I will record individual exercises and label them in voice memos for you to practice at home, in the car, etc. I will also encourage you to record yourself for biofeedback as you practice at home.

Your lessons will evolve organically as I see how you are progressing and what will help you the most at each step in your journey.

I personalize my instruction to your particular needs and interests
