While Kristen's skill as a vocal coach influences her work as a speech therapist, her speech therapy also influences her work with vocal students.

She has performed in diverse settings including local wineries and breweries, corporate events, weddings, Fall for Greenville, the Sigal Music Museum. She is also a former member of the Greenville Chorale.
In recent years, Kristen has expanded her own training by studying Somatic Voicework (™) with Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Kate McGarry and with Billy Gollner, of Somatic Voicework (™) and Capilano University in Vancouver, Canada. She has attended the first two levels of Somatic Voicework (™) training at the Lovetri Institute at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio and attends ongoing training with this organization.
In 2024, Kristen was invited by GVL Jazz to attend training at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York and is now a licensed instructor of that organization’s trademark early childhood education program, WeBop. She teaches two WeBop summer camps per year in Greenville, SC for GVL Jazz.
